The hallowed turf that was up for sale recently at Seddon Park in Hamilton was a hit with local cricket fans, businesses and cricket players alike. Nicola Browne named as ICC World Twenty20 women’s player of the tournament

White Ferns strike bowler Nicola Browne was today named as the women’s player of the tournament at the conclusion of the ICC World Twenty20 2010 at Kensington Oval, Barbados. Browne was the unanimous choice of a select group of experts following a wonderful event for the  Northern Spirit 26-year-old. Not just a day in Hamilton for motorsport but also another highly successful annual golf day at Lochiel Golf Club. The 2009-10 Northern Knights played with sponsors and supporters and enjoyed a day of sunshine, golf, BBQ and plenty of beverages. Thanks to New World Rototuna for providing the yummy BBQ and thanks to the MOBAR team for their service during the day.
