The famous pink shirts that were worn by the Northern Knights during the recently completed HRV Cup domestic Twenty20 competition proved popular on auction site TradeMe, with over $2000 going to The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation (NZBCF). As expected, the shirts worn by Daniel Vettori and Thillakaratne Dilshan were the most popular, with the shirts being sold for $810 and $715 respectively. A batsmen’s paradise at MainPower Oval saw the Plunket Shield match between the Canterbury Wizards and the Northern Knights end in a high scoring draw. A phenomenal 1,369 runs were scored over four days with just 17 wickets falling.
