The Northern Knights have kept their finals hopes alive in the HRV Cup with a resounding 60 run win over the Wellington Firebirds at the Basin Reserve in Wellington. Nicola Browne led the Northern Spirit to a thrilling win over the Auckland Hearts at Melville Park in Auckland. Chasing 197, the Spirit hit the winning runs of the penultimate ball to win by three wickets. The Northern Knights team have named their team for the next two rounds of the HRV Cup domestic Twenty20 competition. The Knights play the Auckland Aces on Friday and the Wellington Firebirds on Sunday. Both matches are away matches.
