How Cricket Changed This Guys Life

So there I was...

watching my all time favourite cricket team the victorious Northern Knights win the State Shield when Kane Williamson smashes a six into the crowd – straight at me. Long story short I leapt outta my seat, caught it on the full, everyone went nuts, TV cameras were on me as well as local and national press photographers. That was the start of how cricket changed my life.

  Next thing you know...

  Next thing you know I meet this fantastic lady who bowls up and introduces herself, she’s a Knights fan too and after not too long I proposed to her, fantastic chick. She comes to the cricket with me whenever she can. We’re married now. That’s another way cricket has changed my life!

  Then the big boss at the brewery calls me...

  He saw me take the catch and offered me a load of the sponsors product, more than I could even think about getting through myself so I’ll be giving other True Knights Fans the chance to win some for themselves at games all through the season.

  The Knights have got in...

  and supported the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation which I think is fantastic. There are heaps of things being given away at games like bottle openers, nail files and lip balm as well as special offers on branded gear for the girls like ‘Damsel in pink’ singlets and hot pink Jandals to raise money for the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation.

  Later in the season...

  I might be heading to Sri Lanka to pick up Thillakaratne Dilshan and escort him back to play in the HRV Cup Twenty20. I’ve been asked not to give Dilshan any playing tips on the flight back but we’ll see!

  The good guys at Big Nose Wines...

  are offering some pretty tasty discounts if you buy wine through the website and become a member of the Northern Districts Cricket club, more on that later once I’ve sampled and approved for sale, haha.
